Food: Crave Cafe @ Oasis Square, Ara Damansara

Waking up early in the morning for breakfast is definitely not a norm for me. Yes, I love sleeping in on weekends. But then, the breakfast served at Crave Cafe @ Oasis Square, Ara Damansara is worth getting up early on a lazy weekend. We headed to the cafe around 8 AM and thank goodness for the smooth traffic.

Crave caters for the younger generation as a perfect hang out place with friends after a busy week. The ambience has that calming effect and with so many couches to laze around, I can definitely spend one whole day at this cafe. It has been opened for about 1 year and they plan to cater to customers outside the area itself.

Coffee is a necessity for most at breakfast, but for me, I can't take caffeine because of its bitter taste. But for those coffee lovers out there, here's some picture for your viewing purposes. Just a note, the coffee beans are from Toby's Estate Arabica Coffee in Sydney and are of the Woolloomooloo Blend, named after the surburb where they begin roasting their coffee beans. This blend is perfect for milk coffees & Crave is the only place where you can find it because they are the first to bring this into Malaysia.

Cappucino Flat White

Dirty Chai Latte

Hot Chocolate
This was so delicious and savoury with its rich chocolatey taste! Perfect for those die hard chocolate fans :)

Toby's Breakfast Blend Tea
Since I could only drink tea for breakfast, this was great for me. It was naturally rich and had that slight floral taste. For those who don't mind, it is recommended to have this without sugar :)

Crave's Big Breakfast
This consists of sausages, beef bacon, roasted tomato, mushrooms, baked beans, eggs and toasted ciabatta. I particularly liked the bacon since it wasn't fattening and I could taste the sweetness of the mushrooms.

Pancakes with Caramelised Banana & Maple Syrup
The pancakes were light and fluffy on the inside, but crispy and fragrant on the outside. Bananas was never my favourite fruit but this was great as some cashewnuts were added to give the usual pancakes a slightly different twist.

New Item
This is a new dish off their menu and it hasn't been named yet. This has eggs, beef bacon and avocado paste on ciabatta bread. Oh, and there are some cheese added as well. The avocado paste complimented the bacon and brought out its true flavour. It was definitely something different and unique :)

Chicken Parmigiana
For those uninitiated, this dish consists of breaded chicken cutlets which is baked with Parmesan cheese and served with tomato sauce as well as pasta. The aroma of cheese was so strong and cheese lovers like myself will love this. The potatoes which were served together was so good. They were soft and sweet, a perfect side to the rich cheesy chicken.

Salmon Scramble
This dish was perfect for light eaters as it consists of only slices of smoked salmon with scramble eggs on toasted ciabatta. The salmon slices were fresh and the bread was crispy as well :)

Green Pesto Chicken
Pesto is usually made using green basil and for this, spiral pasta were used. The uniqueness of this type of pasta is that it usually works well with any sauce, so I guess that was the reason why the chef chose this particular pasta for this dish.

Nutella Mille Crepe Cake
Their cakes are homemade and baked fresh daily. Crepe cakes are my favourite but I don't like Nutella in general. However, this combination managed to surprise me as the chocolate taste wasn't overwhelming, in fact, it was just right for me.

Salted Chocolate Cake
Doesn't this look mouthwatering? It was rather unusual to have salted chocolate cake because chocolate is usually slightly bitter and sweet, but this surprisingly had a layer of salted chocolate. It was very rich and dense with that burst of chocolate flavour the moment you take a small bite of it. Perfect as a comfort food :)

Gula Melaka Cake
Something different from the usual cakes. This cake is definitely worth trying for the sweet tooth. For me, it actually tasted a little like Malay 'kuih' (bite sized dessert). Therefore, this is perfect as desserts for the Buka Puasa feast this month :)

Ramadhan Buka Puasa Promotion
Crave is having a promotion which comes with a homemade Soup, a choice of Main Course, a slice of homemade Cake and a Dragon Fruit Juice. All this for only RM 29.00!

Food: IsMe Beauty & Cafe @ Bintang Fairlane 23 (Bukit Bintang)

Have you guys heard of the new kid on the block? IsMe Beauty Café is a unique, one of its kind café which opened a few months ago and caters generally to the modern day women. With its healthy and light menu, you don’t have to worry about the calories in your food as they strive to prepare meals with as little calories as possible. The ambience of this café is cosy, calming and relaxing, so it’s definitely a perfect place to hang out with the girls on the weekends.

IsMe will be launching their very own cosmetics line, Cuscos (Customised Cosmetics) soon. This skincare range is a collaboration with Swarovski and contains 2 carat diamond to whiten skin & brighten dull complexion. They even have a little corner dedicated for this!

Whenever the name cheesecake is mentioned, the usual thought that goes through my head would be fattening. However, IsMe prepares their cheesecake using 4 different cheese and the finest ingredients to keep it light and low in calories.

Blueberry Cheesecake
This exquisite cake was smooth and rich and surprisingly, it didn’t have that distinctive heavy cheesy smell which could make you full within a few bites. It melts in your mouth and even the blueberry layer at the top was just perfect because it had enough blueberry taste yet it wasn’t sweet.

Oreo Cheesecake
To be honest, I didn’t really like this cheesecake because I wasn’t even a big fan of Oreo to start with. But, for those who are, don’t forget to try this. One bite will definitely make you want more because similarly to the blueberry cheese cake, it was incredibly smooth and was generous with their Oreo bits inside the cake.

Mango Mille Crepe Cake
This crepe cake was perfection! Definitely the best I’ve tasted so far. Well, maybe I could be bias because the combination of mango which is my favourite fruit on crepe is to die for! Anyway, I enjoyed this because it wasn’t sweet at all. Instead, it was rather light & refreshing and they even had small mango bits inside J

Butter Croissant
Croissants are my comfort food. And, well, this was crispy on the outside but so fluffy like pillow on the inside. Close your eyes while chewing this, you would be feeling like you are in heaven! That was the case for me, at least. It wasn’t extremely buttery or oily, which is great for those who are health conscious like me but still want to enjoy this delectable pastry.

Brownies topped with Vanilla Ice Cream
These brownies were heavenly indeed. It was divine, with its chocolatey aroma and incredibly moist texture. The ice cream which was all over the brownies made this the ultimate indulgence for those chocolate lovers out there.

 Spaghetti Chicken Bolognese
The spaghetti is cooked using chicken, instead of the usual beef in order to lower the amount of calories in the dish.  It was tasty and filling, I really liked the fresh tomatoes they used in this instead of tomato puree. There was some cheese sprinkle on the top of this dish which was a perfect combination to its sour taste.

 Creamy Mushroom Spaghetti
The sauce for this dish was savory and was indeed very satisfying. The serving was perfect for me as it wasn't too much. The mushrooms used were fresh and despite it being called creamy, it wasn't overwhelming with that cheesy, milky aroma in comparison to other spaghetti dishes I've tried previously.

I’m not much of a coffee drinker, as you guys might have already known but nevertheless, here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure.

 Peach Drink
This drink is great on a hot day! There was an addition of mint leaves in this to give you that refreshing taste. I don’t usually finish my juices by the way, because I would feel too bloated by the end. But, for this, I finished it without a doubt. Haha.

Food: Chicago Rib House @ 1Utama Shopping Mall

Ribs have always been my favourite ever since I tried them on my vacation to Bali. So, when I heard that Chicago Rib House was organising an exclusive party with ribs and mocktails, I knew I had to be there!

In conjunction with Father's Day, the 1 Utama & Gurney Plaza outlets are having a promotion and it is available from 6th June - 6th July. The promotion is indeed fit for a king and includes two full slabs of All-American Pork Ribs with a choice of two sides, which includes a US potato accompaniment, just for the price of ONE

The best part is it is only priced at RM 79.90, and you may choose from 5 different signature sauces – Original BBQ, Honey Garlic, Flaming Kansas City, Bourbon Sauce or Caramelized Plum. The serving is definitely perfect for sharing for family of 4 to 5 persons!

Here's a sneak peek of it!

Doesn't this look yummy? Those ribs are indeed irresistible! The meat are so juicy and tender as Chicago Rib House promises that their baby back ribs are of the highest quality :)

Potato Salad
My favourite side of the night! So creamy and smooth, this potato salad melts in your mouth :) I liked how the chef added some potato cubes inside as well, giving the salad a different twist compared to the usual mashed potatoes. However, it is kinda milky so to those who have lactose intolerance, this is a no-no for you guys alright.

Stuffed Potato
Since I'm a potato lover, this was pretty yummy for me too! It's similar to baked potatoes except that this was overflowing with cheese and you could even eat the potato skin too! So fragrant, definitely a comfort food for me :)

So, what are you waiting for guys? The promotion is still on, so head to your nearest outlet and get your dose of lip smacking ribs!

Food: Royal Gourmet Fine Dining @ Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang

If you're looking for fine dining in Klang, I advise you to look no further and head over to Royal Gourmet Fine Dining at Premiere Hotel. This restaurant serves authentic Chinese cuisine and is a perfect place to have family dinner over the weekends. It does look pretty fancy with the traditional decorations and I was immediately reminded of elaborate wedding dinners as I entered the restaurant.

So, skipping straight to the point of this post. Here are the pictures!

Double Boiled Black Chicken Soup with Chinese Herbs
This is a bowl of heavenly goodness which will definitely revitalize the soul! The extensive amount of traditional Chinese herbs used to prepare this soup contributed to its fragrance & taste. According to the chef, the main ingredient was 'Hak fu chiong' or 'Black Tiger Palm' which is a mushroom like fungus and it was definitely different from other soups I've tried previously.

Steamed Sea Grouper in Village Style
I have never been a huge fan of steamed fish in Chinese restaurant because they usually taste bland. However, this dish definitely deserved a thumbs-up from me as the fish was steamed to perfection with the sweetness of the meat tasted in every bite. The cilantro leaves and carrots garnish complimented the fish and the meat was tender as well as juicy.

Stir Fried Baby French Bean with Top Shell
This vegetable dish had that homey feel to it and I enjoyed it very much. The french bean was crisp and the chef was pretty creative to add some chewy top shell clam into the dish. It was extremely fragrant and not oily at all.

Steamed Minced Chicken with Salted Fish
This dish is usually cooked using minced pork, but uniquely, this was made using chicken instead. For a smoother texture, the chef specified that he used chicken thigh. Not only that, the chicken meat was minced manually instead of a food processor to achieve the perfect consistency. I thought that the idea of adding eggs on the top was pretty clever as well :)

Baked Lamb Rack with Special Sauce
This was definitely hands down the best dish of the night. I am a lamb lover and I love it in basically, any style. The sauce was had a hint of sweetness and the meat was absolutely juicy. The meat was marinated for 2 hours using various ingredients such as red wine, garlic and shallots before being baked.

Double Boiled Saussurea Involucrate (Wild Snow Lotus) with Snow Fungus & Red Dates
I love desserts to wash down everything after a heavy meal! This was rather fragrant and sweet. However, I didn't really enjoy it because of the snow fungus and magnolia petals which was added.

All in all, it was a pretty decent 5-star kind of meal. If you guys are interested to head over soon, here's the address and contact number :)

Daily: 1st Blogger Engagement Party @ Domino's Setia Alam

Domino's had been a common name in the fast food industry, especially among the younger generations. Yes, you probably guessed it right, with so many events and parties to organise, the easiest and most hassle-free food would definitely be pizzas!

I have always enjoyed Domino's pizzas due to their generous amount of toppings and cheese. Service at their outlets are usually top notch and despite having so many flavours to choose from, my personal favourites are the Aloha Chicken and Classified Chicken.

Anyway, let's skip to the gist of this post. For the first time in Malaysia, Domino's invited a bunch of bloggers for their engagement party mainly to introduce new pizza flavours on their menu in conjunction with the highly anticipated football event in Brazil!

Football and pizzas are like a perfect match and can never be set too far apart from each other. So, here are some choices of Smoky Blended BBQ Pizzas for those football junkies out there!

Meatasaurus (Fan Favourite)
This pizza has Beef Pepperoni, Ground Beef and Fresh Mushrooms, definitely the perfect combination for meat lovers like me!

Smoky Beef N' Chick
I enjoyed this as well because despite the green peppers inside, I couldn't really taste them so I was alright with it. This combination includes some chicken sausages and ground beef as well :) This was served on the Cheese Burst Double Decker crust and the first bite was like a trip to heaven and back for me. Haha.

Smoky Pepperoni & Mushroom
Oh, this was definitely heavenly! I'm a huge fan of mushrooms and pepperoni so this flavour would be my new personal favourite!

Chickensaurus
This was quite good as well and it had roasted chicken, chicken pepperoni and mushrooms inside.

Chocolate Lava Cake
I remembered trying this cake sometime back but it was too sweet for me. However, I decided to give it another chance and tried it yesterday. Unlike my first experience, it tasted like comfort food since it was slightly warm and the chocolate was extremely rich.

So, here's the good news guys! To those of you who are dying to head to Brazil to watch the football match live, there's a contest by Domino's for you guys to try your luck.

So that's it lovelies! I had so much pizzas yesterday, I think I wouldn't crave for them in a long time already.

Food: Goku Raku Ramen @ Mid Valley Megamall

I've always linked ramen to instant noodles at the mere mention of its infamous name, thanks to the widely popular Korean drama these days. Ramen was considered a Japanese staple and over the years, ramen has evolved as well. Anyway, I headed over to Goku Raku Ramen @ Mid Valley on Tuesday for a splendid Japanese dinner. It was a food review and we were introduced to the best dishes of the restaurant.

Here's a rundown of what I tried:

1. Ebi Gyoza
2. 5 Star Aburi Char Siew Ramen
3. Shanghai Fried Ramen
4. GRR Meatballs
5. Course Meal Set C

I would have to say, the ambience and service at this outlet is top notch. It was cozy and comfortable, giving that homely feeling to diners who are looking for a nice place after a busy day. We were served hot green tea the moment we arrived about 7 pm and bear in mind, it is refillable! YAY!

Okay, let us go straight to the food.

Ebi Gyoza
Honestly, I thought this was pretty weird because I expected it to be a flavorful dumpling. However, when I bit into it, it was tasteless and a bit dry. I tried to add the special dipping sauce and it was slightly better but not to my liking, definitely.

5 Star Aburi Char Siew Ramen
This was real good especially the generous amount of 'char siew' (roast pork) added into the bowl of ramen. The noodles which are made daily from flour and water (well, of course some other secret ingredients were added) was springy. At first, I didn't like the broth because it had a strong garlicky essence to it. But after having a few more bites, it wasn't so bad and all in all, this was a good bowl of noodles.

Shanghai Fried Ramen
A 'char kuey teow' style ramen. The chef definitely knew how to cook this to perfection. The noodles were still springy when served but taste wise, it was a tad bit salty.

GRR Meatballs
The meatballs were alright, but the insides were a little too soft. As they fried the meatballs before pouring the sauce over, the skin was a little hard but nevertheless, the meatballs were well marinated and flavorful.

Chef's Specialty Course Meal Set C (available only after 6 pm)
For me, this felt like a bunch of appetizer as they were in pretty small servings. Out of all, I enjoyed the Edamame beans the most because it tasted like comfort food and it got addictive once I started eating it. I particularly liked the Sweet and Sour Pork which was a little tangy and savoury with the meat being cooked to perfection. This set would be good for approximately two to three person.

Alright, that's all, I will see you guys soon! :)  Here are vouchers for you guys, courtesy of Goku Raku Ramen.
