Food: Buka Puasa with Traditional Flavours of Malaysia @ G Tower Kuala Lumpur

To celebrate the holy month of Ramadan, G Tower Kuala Lumpur has created a buffet line up which is sure to tantalize your taste buds, especially for breaking fast. The healthy and flavorful meal options which are available is perfect as nourishment for the tired and hungry.

The buffet menu consists of appetizers, salads, main course and desserts which will surely surprise you. Led by Chef Sherry this time around, the culinary team will be putting their best foot forward in terms of serving up some of the best traditional Malaysian favourites of all time. Basically, the idea is to prepare traditional and authentic dishes from all the 13 states in Malaysia, even Sabah and Sarawak.

Some of the highlights or dishes you may look forward to are:

The large and seemingly never ending ulam-ulaman, mixed salad, kerabu, keropok and many more!

For the bread lovers, you will be on cloud nine as by far, this is the most extensive amount of buns and bread I've seen being served at a dinner buffet.

Ayam Bakar Dalam Buluh
This is a unique type of dish where they cook the chicken in bamboo for added fragrance. It is a dish which is commonly served during Gawai Dayak in Sarawak.

Sotong Masak Hijau
The squid was well cooked and had just the right chewy texture to it. It was flavorful and very enjoyable indeed.

Gulai Tempoyak Ikan Patin

Chicken Lasagne

Roast Lamb

Roti Jala

Popiah Basah

Apam Balik

The array of kuih muih served in pretty baskets

Daily: McDonald's Blogger Appreciation Night @ McDonald's Mutiara Damansara

A McDonald's review is a dream come true for anyone, including myself. I was ecstatic when I heard news that they were organising a bloggers' appreciation session @ McDonald's Mutiara Damansara.

McDonald’s is one of the most iconic brands in the world with over 36,000 locations serving approximately 69 million customers in over 100 countries each day. In Malaysia, McDonald’s opened its door in 1982 and instantly became a local favourite. With over 30 years presence in Malaysia, McDonald’s continuously strive to introduce new concepts to captivate Malaysians via its restaurants nationwide.

McDonald's has changed the standards of fast food all over the world, making it more affordable with value meals for lunch and dinner. Now everyone can afford to have McDonald's at any time of the day, whenever the craving strikes.

The three main focus of the night are the three hot selling burgers; McChicken, Spicy Chicken McDeluxe and GCB!

The beautiful emcee of the night, Azura which kept the spirits high and everyone excited throughout the night!

The Managing Director, McDonald’s Malaysia Azmir Jaafar, giving his speech and some witty comments about the brand. We were enlightened on how the ingredients in the burgers are carefully prepared in the most hygienically possible way as well as the high product quality maintained throughout the years.

Models and the VIPs posing with the three 'stars' of the night!

‘Yang Klasik’!
One of the earliest burgers to be introduced, Malaysia’s bestselling burger McChicken is known as the classic because it represents the brand. The famous burger is best known for its chicken patty, shredded lettuce, toasted bun and mayonnaise.

 ‘Yang Hangat’!
McDonald’s has another popular burger that is known as the Spicy Chicken McDeluxe which is a fan favorite. Everyone’s favourite fiery chicken burger is made out of 100% chicken breast meat, shredded lettuce and toasted bun that is deliciously mouthwatering and irresistible.

‘Yang Gempak!’
Remember the Grilled Chicken Burger? Which is also known as (GCB)? Well fans of the famous seasonal burger will be excited to know that McDonald’s Grilled Chicken Burger has been made permanent on the menu for a while now because of its popularity. For someone who prefers a more unique burger from McDonald’s, the GCB would be it because it is made of whole tender chicken that is grilled to perfection, paired with char-grilled sauce and lettuce sandwiched in between two golden, warm and freshly toasted sesame seeds buns.

My personal favourite would always be the Spicy Chicken McDeluxe as I absolutely enjoy the tender chicken breast meat which has a spicy 'kick' to it! It always brightens up my day when I'm feeling down. What's your favourite McDonald's burger?
