Beauty: Eyelash Extensions @ E Image Aesthetics, Puchong

I never really paid much attention to my lashes when its time for makeup. In fact, I rarely had mascara on because I'm just so lazy to wash it off one by one. I really dislike when I put mascara sometimes because my lashes clump out in a huge unsightly chunk. Plus, it's difficult to open my eyes with some mascara laid on it. I didn't like the idea of false eyelashes as well because I never knew how to stick them on nicely. It always turns out rather weird and awkward on me.

When the beauticians at E Image Aesthetics @ Puchong recommended me to try on their eyelash extensions, I was extremely skeptical. True enough, like many of you guys out there, I found myself being afraid of the uncertainties that came along with it.

While you're at it, check out the Eyebrow Embroidery I did at this place as well :)

BEFORE

This are the original length of my lashes, which aren't pretty long.

 Another angle of my eyelashes

After looking and examining my lashes, Joanne recommended me in a brochure of the different type of curls and length of lashes. I wanted natural lashes which didn't seem like I had false ones all the time. So I opt for the mid-length curls which is more of the natural type, with a length of 9 to 12 mm as well as the thickness of 0.15 mm. Mine was done with a total of 200 lashes.

Joanne putting some stickers on at the bottom of my eyes before beginning on the procedure.

This really needs patience as the beautician needs to adhere each lash one by one onto the original lashes.

Check out the huge difference between the length of the lashes!

Definitely loving my new lashes here :)

AFTER

Overall, it wasn't too painful but it took about 2 hours to complete the procedure on both eyes. Worth it, I would say, as you get pretty eyes without even having to put mascara or eyeliner.

Bear in mind, I had minimal makeup here but it already looks great! I'm definitely going to get my eyelash extensions done more often from now on.

Some point to take note after completing the eyelash extensions:

POST-PROCEDURE

1. DO NOT rub your eyes, even when you sleep as the lashes will fall.

2. DO NOT  trim your lashes yourself.

Food: Marc's Grill @ IOI Boulevard, Puchong

Tucked within the busy, bustling township of Puchong, this newly opened restaurant, Marc's Grill is a gem worth stopping by for a hearty, wholesome meal. A good place serving home-cooked grilled items is hard to find nowadays and no doubt, I'm a big fan of steaks or basically, anything which involves some grilling.

But, don't judge just yet, Marc's Grill does serve up some really good Asian delicacies as well.

The unassuming interior of Marc's Grill which has more of a cafe feel to it. I like the simple, modern concept here and they have these really beautiful flowers around as decorations.

Even the counter has flowers!

Apple and Carrot Mix Juice (RM 6.00)
Love the colour difference in this freshly blended apple and carrot fruit juice.

Bistro Walnut Bacon Salad
A refreshing fruit salad! Perfect appetizer filled with cubed apples, mangoes, cucumber, walnuts, cranberries, cherry tomatoes and bacon slices. They've even added some mandarin peel which I found really special and drizzled with sesame dressing before serving.

Big Breakfast (RM 19.50)
The trend nowadays is to start your day with a Big Breakfast! This comes with two premium sausages, mixed mushrooms, streaky pork bacon, baked beans, salad, scrambled eggs (you can opt for sunny side up too) and a buttered toast.

I enjoyed Marc's Grill version of big breakfast where all the goodness is on one plate!

Pumpkin Soup (RM 7.80)
Not my favourite, but real pumpkin lovers will need to try this. Thick and tasty pumpkin broth which goes so well with the toasted rye bread.

Mushroom Soup (RM 7.80)
This soup is slightly different from the ones you always have at other places as they use Chinese shiitake mushroom only. Pure mushroom goodness in this creamy soup, a must have when you make a visit here.

Honey Mustard Chicken (RM 16.80)
Herb infused chicken, this is a healthy yet yummy and delicious way to enjoy chicken! It is not oily as they use a 'special' cooking method here and for those who are curious, that's thyme on top of the chicken. The chicken is juicy as the moisture is retained while cooking! The mashed potatoes which is served along with it is not your usual smooth ones because here they mashed it manually.

Ribeye Beef Steak (RM 32.00)
This steak is served on a hot sizzling pan to keep the meat warm as you indulge and enjoy it slowly! This is served with the usual grilled or mashed potatoes, corn and salad of the day. Ours was served with grilled potatoes and you can choose your sauce either brown or black pepper sauce. I found the black pepper sauce a bit too strong for me, so I guess I would prefer the brown sauce instead.

Tasty Beefy Beef (RM 17.80)
Beef patty in between two freshly made charcoal buns which are healthier than the normal burger buns. Look at the glorious shimeji mushrooms added inside, so fat and juicy!

The beef patty is so thick and it is made from minced Australian beef, pan grilled to perfection. Since it is home made, the patty is not solid and it tends to crumble when you bite into it.

Chef's Special Grilled Lamb (RM 25.80)
Served with honey mustard sauce similar to the chicken I've mentioned above, this is also one of my must have dish at this place.

Mutton Curry (RM 16.80)
Spicy, savoury mutton curry served with fragrant rice, starfruit salad, chickpeas and fried egg. The meat is tender and not too hard or chewy with just the right texture. You may also opt for this to be served with spaghetti or rye bread. This is a real fiery dish so for those who can't take spicy, it is not advisable to order this unless you feel like you're up for the challenge.

LUNCH SET

Ayam Goreng Rempah Set (RM 14.90)
The set comes with Jasmine tea and fruit of the day which is definitely a good deal especially for students who are on tight budget like myself. I loved the juicy chicken thigh cooked with spices such as lemongrass, ginger and almost every other imaginable spices. They usually marinate the chicken overnight which makes it extremely flavorful and this set is available from Monday to Friday.

Savoury Waffle with Bacon & Walnut (RM 15.90)
Waffles topped with Hollandaise sauce, a sunny side up egg plus some bacon as well as walnuts. This is a savoury version of waffles in comparison to the sweet waffles we usually crave for. A nice change if you would love to try something different.

On weekends and weekdays, their breakfast menu is available all day but waffles are excluded from it.

Food: Caffeinated @ IOI Boulevard, Puchong

Attention to all coffee lovers out there! I have finally found the perfect place to satisfy all your daily caffeine fix and to basically chill with your friends on a lazy Sunday.

Caffeinated is the brainchild of Tarick Tan, a barista who is passionate in making that ideal cuppa' for you. Its located in a strategic place, the IOI Boulevard of Puchong where there are plenty of parking inside the building so don't worry about that.

I love the soft and subtle concept of the cafe, which gives that warm feeling to anyone who steps in.
There were a few families having their early dinner when we were there, so it is not only a cafe serving coffee but rather, a place for everyone!

The beautifully decorated order counter with flowers and ornamental items.

For those who prefer something else than coffee, they do have other choices like juices here :)

Affogato with Kapiti Ice Cream (RM 14.00)
Here, they boasts on using fine quality ice cream from New Zealand, known as Kapiti ice cream which is smooth and rich. The one we tried is the Pohutukawa Honey flavour which has just the right sweetness without overpowering the coffee when its mixed together.

Bailey's Tiramisu (RM 17.00)
Wow, this cup is filled with goodness from mascarpone cheese, farm fresh milk, Bailey's Irish Cream and espresso! It will blow your mind once you try it. This was the product of one of Tarick's creative experiment and this mixture is surprisingly good, even for a non-coffee fan like me because of its milkiness.

Dark Chocolate Float (RM 15.00)
This is the cutest drink ever, which is supposed to look like an Android design. There's Oreo's in this and I love this concoction.

Big Breakfast (RM 22.00)
A generous serving of scrambled eggs, muesli toast, sauteed' mushrooms, sausage and two slices of ham, this is the definition of eating like a King for breakfast. I love their muesli toast because its crispy on the outside but soft on the inside.

Mushroom Pizza (RM 20.00)
Thin crust pizza topped with generous amounts of white button mushrooms, shiitake, olives, capsicum and mozzarella cheese. This 10' sized pizza is good for sharing with your partner. The barbecue sauce at the bottom complimented the rest of the ingredients and truly enhanced the flavour.

German Sausage Baguette (RM 18.00)
This baguette meal is for those who prefer something out of the norm. We chose the German Sausage version but there are other types such as Lamb Leg, Turkey Ham or Smoked Chicken to choose from. This wholesome meal is packed with cheddar cheese, German Sausage, lettuce, tomatoes and some mayonnaise and wasabi dressing on top.

Carbonara Mushroom (RM 15.00)
Thick and milky carbonara sauce coating the pasta! This would be pretty heavy for most of you out there, but it wasn't for me and I needed to add some Parmesan cheese inside to savour this plate of pasta. There were various types of mushroom used in this and I would say the serving is quite huge as well.

Sharing Platter - Under The Sea (RM 80.00) - 2 -3 pax

This platter comes with a variety of seafood; dory fish, squid and prawns plus Foot-long, German sausage and Spicy French sausage. Some of the sides include Aglio Olio spaghetti, fries, sweet corn, tomato, sesame dressing salad and crispy nachos for kids to munch on while the parents indulge in the fresh seafood.

A picture before we end the night at this cozy new-found hangout place!
