Food: Taste the Finest Delights @ Champignons, Oasis Square Ara Damansara

I have a new place I recently discovered, which serves up really yummy dishes. Good food are meant to be shared and I believe that Champignons @ Oasis Square, Ara Damansara is one that everyone should know of.

The concept is more of a modern, chic restaurant, just the right place to chill and hang out with friends over this festive Chinese New Year season. The name Champignons means mushrooms and I find that it's such a cute way to name a restaurant.

We were served the Amuse Bouche, which is equivalent to a Chef's special. The Croque Monsieur is made up of ham slices and melted cheese, sandwiched in between crispy toast.

Absolutely appetizing!

Homemade Smoked Salmon with Citrus Salad

The in house cured smoked salmon slices, topped the citrus salad to form a beautiful presentation of an appetizer.

Almost too good to be eaten, the salmon slices are thick and has a delicate texture to it. Absolutely savoury and flavourful! The salad was also refreshing with some julienned apples and beetroot sauce in it.

Wild Mushroom Soup

There were two types of mushrooms used for this soup; button and oyster mushrooms. The Chef decided to use yoghurt, instead of cream to thicken the soup and thus, it is definitely a healthier option.

The soup is served with a piece of bruschetta, topped with mushrooms and cheese.

Grilled US Pork Ribs with Plum Sake Glaze

The US Pork Ribs has a smoother texture with less fat, probably a healthier option for us as well.

The pork was marinated with plum sauce which have a slight citrus flavour to it, and the meat was perfectly tender.

Black Truffle Chicken Breast

The chicken breast was marinated with white truffle oil, which has a stronger flavour compared to the usual black truffle oil. Even with chicken breast which tends to have a tough texture, the Chef decided to sous-vide the meat to maintain the juiciness of the chicken breast.

It was lightly pan fried to crisp the skin a little before serving.

Australian Lamb Short Loin with Homemade Lamb Sausages

The sausages were made in house and it was very juicy and flavorful. The lamb cutlets was not gamy, it did not have an excessive strong odor. In fact, it was only marinated with salt and pepper only.

Sprinkled with some caramelised onions to enhance the flavour of this dish, I highly recommend this for those who love to have some Australian lamb.

Mario Mushroom

This dessert is similar to the famous chocolate dome dessert, which is the trend these days.
With a white chocolate dome on top, the insides are made up of chocolate sponge and raspberries.

There were some popping sparkly candies which was sprinkled around, so if you're lucky, you're in for a treat!

Food: A La Carte Specials at RM 25 Nett @ Coffee House, Sunway Putra Hotel

Coffee House @ Sunway Putra Hotel recently dished out a new promotion of their A La Carte Specials, starting 1st August 2017 to 31st December 2017. This restaurant has a relaxing ambience and is extremely spacious. It has a perfect setting for friends' gathering or even family get together.

The new A La Carte Specials menu is extensive and comes with a wide selection of local as well as international delights to choose from. You'll be spoiled for choice choosing which to have. What attracts me the most, is the price of the meals which is set at ONLY RM 25 nett per person and comes with dessert plus tea/coffee.

Some of the highlights and favourites of the menu are as below:

Spaghetti Aglio E Olio with Prawns
This spicy pasta is appetizing and comes with 2 huge prawns. With some cheese sprinkles as a topping, this was one of my favourite!

Nasi Lemak Gunung Berapi
Nothing beats a hearty meal of our local delights! For this, I love the sambal which comes with two huge prawns as well. The fried chicken and the fragrant coconut milk rice is definitely a perfect combination for a lovely lunch.

Homemade Classic Burger
With an option of chicken and beef, this burger is extremely filling. Personally, it was good for sharing as the portion is quite huge. I'm sure no one can resist the juicy beef patty topped with some cheese and a sunny side up.

Lobster Cantonese Noodles

Hainanese Chicken Rice

Fried Noodle 'Mamak Style'

My Chicken Chop
Deep fried till crispy golden brown, this chicken chop is absolutely delightful. Drizzle the black pepper sauce all over the chicken and enjoy!

Travel: Embrace the Spirit of SEA Games with Traveloka!

Lately, I've been doing a lot of travelling and in fact, I just came back from Bangkok and Korea recently. Before travelling, I usually do a lot of research to find out which travel platform has the best deals for budget travellers like me. Many years ago, I used to travel with tour agents but after some time, I realised it's better to travel free and easy. First, you can decide or plan your own itinerary and you don't need to rush while travelling. You can literally take your own sweet time at each tourist spot and organise your trip to your liking. Best part is, you get enough rest because you'll be at your own pace when you do free and easy travels. Well, if you decide to follow my footsteps, be prepared to do a whole lot of research beforehand. I have a great tip to share if you plan to travel free and easy too.

Out of all I've checked, I find that Traveloka is one of the best and reliable travel platform which offers great promotion for flight tickets and hotel bookings. If you're planning a trip at the moment, I'd highly recommend you to check out Traveloka for some awesome deals.

It's extremely convenient and useful for those who enjoy travelling frequently. I like the filter options they have, where you can simply sort based on your personal preferences such as price range, airlines and also the type of hotel you are searching for. These features really help me save precious time and ensure that I'm getting what I want for my trip.

With the SEA Games 2017 currently ongoing, Traveloka are offering some unbelievably cheap deals to various destinations. The SEA Games 2017 or commonly known as the Kuala Lumpur 2017 (KL 2017) is a multi sport event and this is the sixth time that Malaysia is hosting the games. So proud to be a Malaysian! By the way, there will be 404 events in 38 sports which will be featured in the games.

For the uninitiated, Traveloka is the Gold Sponsor for the SEA Games 2017 and they are rewarding travellers as well during this season. Enjoy savings of up to 60% on flights and hotels with the GO SEA PROMOTION to 10 special Southeast Asian destinations - Singapore, Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Bali, Jakarta, Bandung and Lombok with the booking period from 11 to 31 August 2017. Awesome news is that you can book first and travel at anytime. I guess I went to Bangkok too early and missed out on this deal. So, for those who hasn't booked yet, what are you waiting for? Especially with the holiday seasons coming up, it's the perfect time to travel.

The HELLO MALAYSIA PROMOTION is also ongoing at the moment, and you can save up to 40% on flights and hotels when you travel around Malaysia or head to KL

Personally, I have been using the Traveloka app that I've installed on my phone. It's quite simple and user friendly, you can download the app on the App Store/Play Store and you're good to go. I find it easier to scroll through the app to find the best deals for flight and hotels, compared to using the desktop. Oh, and they have really efficient customer service, if you encounter any problems with your bookings.

If you are supporting some of the athletes at the SEA Games 2017, you can check out the Traveloka booth at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium too. I'll be heading there to watch some of my favourite sports; rhythmic gymnastics and badminton. See you there!

Despite shopping almost every weekend, we girls always complain of having nothing to wear in our wardrobe. Mornings are always a headache because we can never find that perfect outfit for the day despite our closet being overfilled with clothes.

It probably sounds familiar to you girls but, I think I have a solution for it. I stumbled across Sheinside a few weeks ago and discovered that it could be the ultimate shopping haven for all fashionistas out there. They have so many different styles that would fit any girl but as for me, I'm usually towards the cute, chic style. And, my rule for any outfit is it should be as comfortable as possible and hopefully looks good at the same time.

So, I hand-picked and made a compilation of some of the tops, dresses and bottoms which I really loved. While selecting and browsing through the website, I realised that I tend to pick outfits which has pastel, softer colours.

Tops
Skirts

Shorts

Dresses

Vintage is not specifically my kind of thing, but it's a waste not to post this beauties up for your viewing pleasure. Haha. Yes, I would totally wear this too.

Its more of the baroque or retro style but for those who are bolder, I suggest you girls go for it!
