Daily: Hassle-free Salon Online Booking with Bfab

I'm not a fan of beauty salons and spas, but occasionally I do indulge in some of these. But, these services are always so costly and pricey that it can be afforded by only those who earn the big bucks. Recently, I came across a hassle-free online booking website, BFab - salon online booking  for anyone who prefers to check out the latest salons around your area without having to drive there personally. The system is FREE OF CHARGE and that's what I find amazing about it. The bookings can be done anywhere, anytime as well.

After choosing the services which you are keen on, you can choose from a list of vendors which are listed accordingly. You may even specify your availability, treatment type and price range as well.

I came across a few great deals while I was going through the site! I managed to compare the prices of different vendors and then select the best deals available.

Check out the section under 'Recommended for You'. You may find some deals which will interest you!

I'm thinking of trying out the massage available at this place, it is pretty affordable and the environment looks great. I could use a massage for my extremely tight and sore muscles.

For long term users of Bfab, there are access perks you may receive through its loyalty program! So, sign up today using my link, click HERE!

Daily: Sunway Lagoon Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon Media Launch

Discover a hidden world covering ten acres of lush tropical rainforest within a jungle previously “lost” to the public! This is now a reality as Sunway and Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) announce the opening of the first Nickelodeon themed attraction in Asia, Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon at Sunway Lagoon in Malaysia.

When I heard that there was a new part of Sunway Lagoon, the child in me was ecstatic because I absolutely love theme parks and Sunway Lagoon is one place where I had a whole lot of childhood memories. A new part of the park means more rides and attractions to me. Now, that itself was enough to get anybody hyped up!

Such a hot day, I can barely open my eyes :) Well, at least, the weather was great!

Welcome to Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon!

No stone was left unturned in the creation of the Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon which boasts 14 immersive attractions, some of which are themed with Nickelodeon's hit properties, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Visitors to Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon can expect an exhilarating experience thanks to interactive play areas, which use the latest in reactive technology in addition to a daily signature slime events, a variety of waterslide rides, retail shops, games and a myriad of food service establishments and more.

“Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon will enable kids and families in Malaysia and around Southeast Asia to connect with our brand and Nickelodeon’s iconic characters in a unique and meaningful way that will further deepen their relationship with Nickelodeon,” said Mark Whitehead, Executive Vice President and Managing Director, Viacom International Media Networks Asia. “Sunway Lagoon’s expertise has made them an ideal partner and we are delighted to make it Nickelodeon’s Asia debut as we further expand the Nickelodeon brand in the region.”

Primeval
There are 3 unique ride experiences; BOA Constrictor, Cobra Creek and Crocodile Gully. My personal favourite is the BOA Constrictor which features tons of twist and turns, with a part that drops giving you a free fall sensation.

Jungle Fury
A family ride for all! This is like a mini Vuvuzela ride as you g through surprise drops and turns for wholesome family fun :)

Monsoon 360
This ride allows you to experience the sensation of zero gravity as the ground caves in, literally. Hug yourself as you fall at a speed of up to 60kph in under 2 seconds.

Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon opens to the public on February 3, 2016. The opening hours will be from 10:00am to 6:00pm every Monday to Sunday. Enjoy the many attractions on offer at RM150 for those aged 12 years and above, and RM120 for those below the age of 12.

Daily: Grand Opening of Claire Organics @ Da:Men, USJ

I've always wanted to tried out organic skincare products, and this wasn't the first time I've heard about how natural and beneficial these products are in comparison to the mainstream ones.

Claire Organics is not a foreign name in the realm of organic products, which is why I knew I had to be there for their grand opening ceremony @ Da:Men, USJ. The mall was a perfect location with the location of the store being on the same floor with other popular beauty brands.

Claire Organics was founded by Louise who had the inspiration to make bar soaps out of breast milk for her child.

The name Claire was inspired by her daughter, ‘Norra Claire’ and it stands for ‘clear and pure’ in French. It is the perfect name for all the natural products available under the brand.

The wide range of products in store!

The Herbal Balm is a handy ointment convenient enough to bring around, especially during travelling. Being prone to insect bites, I often use this Healing Balm to soothe the itch and you can even use it for a variety of conditions such as eczema, rashes, acne as well as burns.

The Lip Balm keeps my lips moisturised all day, in the hot and humid weather. I just need to apply one coat in the morning and there won't be cracked lips throughout the day. Plus, the calming, soothing scent of lavender makes it one of my favourite product at the moment.

The Rosehip Face/Body Oil is my personal favourite and one of the products from Claire which I have incorporated as part of my daily skincare regime. I have a few areas with uneven skin tone on my face which I sometimes use BB cream to cover. Ever since I've started using this Rosehip oil on my face, I've noticed a huge difference and my skin tone has become more radiant and even now.

The oil comes with anti-aging properties as it has tonnes of Vitamin A in it to reduce wrinkles or fine lines. It also helps in sun damaged treatment as well as scar treatment or any unsightly pigmentation marks. If you find that applying the oil all over your face a bit overwhelming, try applying it only on certain stubborn spots or area. That's what I did :)

Lavender - Hair & Scalp Treatment Oil

I've been searching high and low for this cold pressed essential oils. Look what I discovered!

And, here's the most famous product in Claire Organics. Their must-try soaps, made from scratch :) There are many varieties to choose from, but some which have attracted my attention would be the lavender, echinacea and goat's milk. They all have different properties, so you can find the one which is most suitable for your needs.

Anti Cellulite Body Scrubs which would be perfect to scrub away all those dirt and unwanted cellulite, in preparation for the new year. *just kidding*

Well, if you made it through the end of the post, and you're keen on trying out some of the products, here are the details you will need:

Daily: CNY Brunch Launch @ #theBBP

Eating great food with family and friends is a national Malaysian pastime. This makes eating and chilling out at Bukit Utama’s “The BBP” the perfect location for a fabulous time. The BBP, an acronym standing for among other things - Big Black Pig, Best BBQ Pit, Best Beer Promo; BBP is a gastropub style restaurant with a gorgeous beer garden serving classic, mouth-watering barbecue fare specialising in pork dishes such as pork ribs and their delightful beer can chicken – known as “One Hot Chick”.

They had a CNY brunch launch last weekend and I didn't hesitate to savour some of their dishes, just in time for the festive season of course. I liked the environment, because it's perfect for breakfast, brunch or even a romantic dinner.

They had a little rustic, bar feel to the interior. It was a little sunny though when we were there last weekend.

WHAT'S FOR BRUNCH?

If you need a place to have a good brunch with family or friends, check out BBP’s new brunch menu. The menu includes popular a la carte meals like the usual ever-popular Eggs Benedict, special Spicy Pork Sandwich, Iberico Bacon Croissant and even Muesli with various fruit selections to choose from.

Iberico Bacon Croissant (RM 26)

I am a croissant lover, so this one which was filled with bacon and lettuce was my personal favourite of the day. The meal includes fries and some salad, with a small bottle of yogurt. At BBP, you can mix and match, or even build your own brunch, as they would say it. Just grab the menu and start choosing!

"Chu" (Pork) Lou Sang
Featuring Jamon Iberico, Bacon crackle and Crispy Pork Lard, the “Chu” Sang is available for takeaway to the comfort of your own party.

Half portion and full portion of the “Chu” Sang is priced at RM49 nett and RM88 nett respectively.

Additionally for this CNY, Suckling Pigs are available for pre-orders from BBP. Suckling Pig will be available from now till 22nd February 2016, with a whole Suckling Pig priced at RM350 nett.

1 day advance booking is required.

ONE HOT CHICK!

Look at the flames engulfing the chicken!

Daily: Seeties Gathering @ Sen of Thai, Damansara Uptown

Being part of TAP in Seeties is fun, I get to mingle and mix with other bloggers and even the Seeties team! When I heard that the next gathering was gonna be held at Sen of Thai @ Damansara Uptown, I knew I had to go for it. Thai food plus great company, what better things can there be?

I frequently head to Damansara Uptown for food, in fact I have reviewed a few restaurants in the area too. However, Sen of Thai was something new which I've not heard of before.

In love with the rustic and cosy interior of the cafe

Everyone is finally here!

SOUPS

Thai Baked Mussels in Claypot with Basil Leaves (RM 29)

Tom Yam Goong (RM 28)

I was absolutely in love with this creamy and rich tomyam, that I've been craving for the past few weeks.

There were chicken pieces and some oyster mushrooms in this which I really enjoyed with my steaming hot white rice.

APPETIZERS

Steamed Prawn topped with Lime Chilli Sauce (RM 16)

This one was so good, except that they have a few slices of birds' eye chillies hidden inside for that extra 'kick' once you have a spoonful.

Unless you enjoy over the roof kind of spiciness, my advice is to try this in small little bites. But, I absolutely love the tangy and spicy taste from the lime chilli sauce when it's combined with the steamed prawn.

MAINS

Sizzling Beef with Black Pepper Sauce (RM 20)

Deep Fried Siakap with Signature Thai Chilli Sauce (RM 55)

I don't usually enjoy fried fish, but this one was deep fried till even the skin was crisp.

The flesh of the fish managed to retain its moisture and sweetness,  even though it has been deep fried. The Thai Chilli Sauce complimented the fish very well because it was slightly spicy and sourish.

Classic Pad Thai (RM 15)

Cranberry Pineapple Fried Rice (RM 16)

Presentation wise, this fried rice is a winner! It was also loaded with tons of prawns so, for seafood lovers this is a definite must try.

Stir Fried Broccoli with Scallops (RM 24)

For the generous amount of scallops which was served together with some fresh broccoli, this dish is definitely worth every single cent you're spending on it.

There are also some sliced mushrooms in this.

DESSERTS

Tab Tim Krob - Thai Red Ruby (RM 8.50)

This is one of my favourite Thai dessert of all time, I absolutely love the water chestnut which are covered with tapioca flour and then served with sweetened coconut milk and shaved ice.

Sago Honeydew (RM 8.50)
