Food: Ramadan Buffet @ Streat Thai, Jaya One

With Ramadan being right around the corner, restaurants are starting to prepare for this season once again. Ramadan buffet is a highlight during this festivities, and is famous among all cultures and races in Malaysia. It is a time to gather and enjoy the various delicacies together with friends and family. 

This year, Streat Thai @ Jaya One did not fall back on the wagon as they serve up some more than 60 items for their Ramadan buffet. I have had the opportunity to try out their fantastic dishes a few days ago and it was a splendid dining experience. Streat Thai, as the name suggests, Thai food is their specialty and if you know me, Thai cuisine is one of my favourites especially the heavenly sour and spicy tomyam Thais are famous for. 

The simple interior of Streat Thai and I like the authentic feel with the hawker stalls set up inside the restaurant.

Tom Kha Kai

This was one of my favourite dish, it was a slightly sourish tomyam with a hint of sweetness. Perfect to enjoy with hot steaming white rice.

As a big fan of clams, this was one of my personal favourite. Fresh and juicy!

Mango Sticky Rice

Definitely a must try Thai dessert! The sticky rice has just the right texture and is not too starchy as well.

Food: Ramadan Warisan Buffet @ Palm Garden Hotel, IOI Resort City Putrajaya

Ramadan is the best time of the year because it means there are going to be endless food for 'buka puasa' spreads especially at hotels. So, the first Ramadan buffet I had was at Palm Garden Hotel, IOI Resort City and it was splendid, definitely worth the drive up to this traditionally decorated hotel. 

The restaurant was filled to the brim that night and the buffet spread is available from 18 June till 15 July 2015.

I suggest you try some of the beef rendang and eat it together with the nasi impit. Yummy!

Roast Lamb

The chef is diligently carving the roast lamb and he will be there the whole night to serve you fresh, hot lamb right off the grill.

Satay

Some of the desserts available and the selection is incredibly extensive. 

While dining, be entertained by the talented Mahligai Ghazal band belting out traditional and modern numbers. Surau facilities are available.

The Ramadan Warisan Buffet will be served at several areas in Palm Garden Hotel starting at the Palms Café Restaurant to Perdana and Putra Ballroom and other halls.
