Beauty: Mentholatum Introduces New J-Beauty Makeup Series: SUGAO!

I've recently seen and heard about the latest makeup series, launched by Mentholatum in leading pharmacies, SUGAO! The brand denotes bare, natural concept for young women to experience soft and easy to apply makeup which suits all skin types.

SUGAO aims to boost natural beauty through their makeup products, and enhance the vibrant and energetic side of female through its young and modern product designs. I love their packaging and their product really attracts me.

Here are the products I decided to try out:

FROM LEFT (Sugao Lip Tint, Sugao Air Fit CC Cream, Sugao Cheek and Lip)

SUGAO Air Fit CC Cream Pink Bright Moist (01 Pure Natural) // RM 69.90

I find that the texture is really nice, almost like a souffle fluffy texture which spreads pretty evenly on my face. It has a silky, dewy finish that brightens up my complexion. You only need to squeeze a little of the product and apply it evenly on the entire face.

Coverage is light and can be used for your daily makeup regime. It doubles as a makeup base as well and I like how it blurs out my visible pores, fine lines and rough uneven skin tone. It is comfortable for long wearing hours and keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day, without feeling oily.

SUGAO Lip Tint in Apricot Pink // RM 45.90

The applicator is soft and has the right angle for easier application of the product on your lips. I love my lip tints and I have invested a lot in lip tints previously. However, so far, I have never found any product which I particularly liked until I tried this SUGAO lip tint.

The colour was a little too orange initially, but I find that after you apply it for a few minutes, it turns into a soft pretty pink. It moisturises my lips and I like it that it is non sticky at all!

It doesn't smudge as long as you don't use a tissue to wipe the product away. I find that I only need to reapply once after a whole day out when I use this long lasting lip tint.

SUGAO Cheek & Lip Active Orange  // RM 59.90

I'm not a big fan of blushers and I usually don't put anything on my cheeks in my normal makeup regime. I decided to try this out because this product comes with a 2-in-1 hybrid formula which apparently blends easily, just by using fingertips.

Personally, I like its light texture and how it is not too bright on my cheeks. To create a cute and lovely look, I only used minimal of this product and blended it in circular motion around both cheeks area.

Love the final look after trying out all the products!

The SUGAO makeup range is now available at selected Watsons outlet.

Beauty: Peripera Airy Ink Velvet Lip Tint (Latest Korean Rave Product)

I just recently return from my trip to Korea, the land of beauty, makeup and skincare! There were so many products in the beauty stores of different brands there and I was so tempted to buy all of them. Before heading to Korea, I had a shopping list of makeup items to purchase and lip tints are one of them. I am a big fan of lip tints, because of their long staying power and beautiful shades. Plus, lip tints are usually not sticky like lip sticks after applying.

While in Korea, I noticed that there is a new lip tint in the market from famous brand, Peripera. I have heard of the brand numerous times and have seen it in the shelves here in Malaysia as well. I heard that this is one of the best lip tints, but they are so pricey.

Anyway, there was a promotion for their latest and newly launched product, Peripera Airy Ink Velvet which haven't even landed in Malaysian shores yet. Since it was only 7,200 won (about RM 28), I was really excited to get one of it and try it out.

I chose the #3 Sold Out Red because I find that reddish tones look great with my skin colour. Light pinks never work on me somehow haha.

I liked the small and cute bottle it comes in.

Packaging wise was great and you can just pop it into your makeup bag for touch up anywhere.

The brush applicator was soft and gentle on the lips. It's angled in a way for easier application.

As you can see, this is the box it came in and the shade I chose was #3 Sold Out Red.

Pros
- Easy application
- Lasts long, from morning till evening (even after food, as long as you don't purposely use tissue to wipe it away)
- Subtle fragrance

Cons
- A little thick on the first few application

This was how it looked like on my lips. I applied it on my inner bottom lips and just smacked it on to the top.

Ta-da! I really like the end results, it was a very sweet red that helped brighten up my complexion greatly ;)

Beauty: Onsaemeein Velvet Moist Lip Tint Review

So, I've been a little late in exploring this Korean beauty trend of gradation lips and lip tints. I always love the lips they do on K-pop stars which looks so natural and sweet. I tried to achieve the gradation look a few times with my lipsticks, but somehow it doesn't feel right.

Actually, I have been to a few pharmacies in Malaysia to find these lip tints but they are always so pricey.

So, I decided to try out some of the lip tints available on Althea website and I chose this particular one, Onsaemeein Velvet Moist Lip Tint because the pictures and description was rather convincing haha. Plus, it's on offer at the moment, only RM 22.00!

So after much consideration, I got the one in #02 Berry Red because I prefer something in the between of pink and red for that sweet, girl next door look.

So, I took a few shot of what the product looks like:

It comes in a cute bottle, nothing fancy and the size is perfect to toss into my everyday makeup bag.

I like the colour, its very pretty and highly pigmented as well. It's very striking and similar to what I expected it to be.

The no fuss brush applicator is perfect as you just need to dab the tint at the inside of your lips.

I applied it to the whole lips for this because I wanted to show you guys how pretty the colour is. I will be trying out the gradation lips technique with this soon enough, once I've mastered it.

All in all, I really like this product. Perhaps, its because its the first lip tint I've purchased so far.
I've decided to list out some pros and cons of this lip tint.

Pros
1. Vivid colour with just 1 application
2. Lasts quite long (it doesn't go away when I eat unlike my other lipsticks)
3. Don't really need to re-apply
4. Non-sticky

Cons
None at the moment
