Drink: Experience The True Thai Flavour @ Mon Chaang Thai Tea, Sunway Pyramid

I recently came back from Bangkok a few months ago and I've been looking  for some really good Thai Milk Tea to satisfy my cravings. I don't fancy coffee, because of its bitterness, so I'd prefer some sweet milk tea. Mon Chaang Thai Tea just opened up their second branch @ Sunway Pyramid. 

They import their products and tea leaves directly from Thailand, so the drinks you have here is absolutely authentic.

I had the opportunity to try out some of their famous, bestseller Thai Milk Tea flavours. 

They have an extensive menu of drinks, even if you're not a big fan of milk tea. A total of 15 drinks for you to try out!

Thai Milk Red Tea

This is the original Thai Milk Red Tea, my personal favourite. It wasn't as sweet as the one I tried in Thailand, but flavour wise, I could taste the fragrance of the Thai Red Tea leaves.

Milky and creamy, a perfect drink for our hot Malaysia weather!

Thai Lime Green Tea

This was an interesting combination. It was slightly sour and very refreshing indeed. 

Very light tea flavour, for those who prefer to go caffeine-free.

Thai Cocoa (Chocolate)

For about RM 5.90, you can enjoy a yummy cup of Thai goodness. It is highly recommended to try the Thai Milk Tea series, if you're craving for it. They also have some combos of a snack + a drink for only RM 10.90!

Daily: Pablo Baked Cheese Tart Has Finally Arrived in Malaysian Shores @ 1 Utama

Cheese tart has been all the rage in Malaysia recently. With all the outlets popping up like mushrooms and selling like hotcakes, there is another brand who have just joined the line. Pablo is no foreign name, it is an established brand of its own all the way from Japan. In fact, many of my friends have already mentioned the name to me, at least once or twice previously. 

Hearing the news that they've just landed in Malaysia gets me excited! Well, as a matter of fact, cheese tarts are heavenly comfort food which can brighten up anyone's day. Pablo is famous for their giant cheese tart which has been the talk of the town ever since they arrived here last weekend. 

 Here's the whole collection of items which we got to try out during the opening launch last weekend. This covers mostly the products which are available in Pablo.

Pablo Giant Cheese tart (RM 46.90)

The creaminess of the soft cream cheese is absolutely delectable! It isn't gooey in texture, neither is it too watery like a lava. For me, it was just a nice, spongy and fluffy consistency with the flaky pastry on the outside. The top layer was smooth like gelatin and had their signature logo on it. 

You can slice the tart into 5 pieces if you cut similarly as shown in the photo above. What I liked most about this tart is, despite how gigantic it looks, it isn't actually filling at all. In fact, its light and not too cheesy, so you can have it even after a heavy meal!

Pablo Mini (RM 8.90)

Out of all the cheese tarts I've tried previously, this one really gave me the satisfaction a cheese tart should provide. The Mini tarts are baked and air flown all the way from Japan. They just reheat the frozen tarts when they arrive in Malaysia.

The texture of the cheese filling is similar to what a paste would be like, which is easier to consume in my opinion. One thing I don't fancy about cheese tarts is that some other brands make them too liquid like and it gets really messy when you try to bite into it.

Pablo Mini is perfect, their tarts are very consumer friendly, I would say. You don't need to worry that it might drip all over your outfit or smudge your lipstick :)

Pablo Frute - Classic Cheese Tart flavour (RM 15.90)

Fancy drinking your cheese tarts? Pablo invented the first cheese tart drink and I'm so happy to be one of the first to try it out. The thought of drinking cheese was rather peculiar initially, but after taking a sip, I guarantee you can't stop. 

The taste was a little bit like a banana shake with cream. It was sourish but refreshing at the same time. Your taste buds are in for a good treat!

Pablo Choco Crunch - Cheese Tart Flavour (RM 47.90)

This crunchy cheese tart snacks come in 12 pieces in each box. 

To me, this is pretty much similar to muesli, except that this wasn't as gooey as those muesli bars.

 Pablo Sabrel Cheese (RM 32.90)

This biscuit is known as sabrel and its a famous product in Japan. If you ever visit Japan, this is a souvenir you will definitely have to purchase to complete your trip. Pablo now makes them in different flavours, but with cheese as its main focus of course.

They have it in white (parmesan cheese & Gouda cheese cream), black (black truffle and cheese) and green (Matcha and cream cheese).

Food: 5.1 Cafe Gallery @ Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur

Sri Petaling is my ultimate hang out place because its near to my university but honestly, I haven't tried out 5.1 Cafe Gallery before. It wasn't one of those cafes you would actually just walk in to. It was upstairs and when I was invited for a review here, I thought why not try it out since its nearby anyway. Well, this little homey, humble cafe definitely surpassed my expectation. Read on to find out why. :)

 The cafe decorations had a distinct, rustic feel to it. A lot of thoughts has gone into how to beautify the cafe and indeed, it was very pretty.

5.1 Tortilla Pizza (RM 12.90)

Loaded with tons of cheese, this one is perfect for cheese lovers like myself. This pizza is a unique combination of mushrooms, tomatoes, tomato sauce and smoky bacon. 

What i enjoyed most, was the thin and crispy tortilla crust which complimented the toppings well. 

Sensational Bite (RM 12.90)

For a complete breakfast as fuel for the rest of the day, you can try out this sandwich which comes with cheese. chicken ham, crab roll, lettuce with some premium sausages too. 

This one is not to be missed because its healthy and wholesome at the same time.

Tortilla Chicken (RM 15.90)

Here we have a serving of a deep fried, deboned chicken thigh which was marinated and coated in flour before being wrapped in a tortilla. 

The black pepper sauce which was served together added flavour to the chicken which was fried to golden brown.

Our Cereal (RM 12.90)

Cornflakes pizza doesn't seem mainstream at all, in fact, I was extremely skeptical about this. 

It was a dessert with tortilla and toppings of cornflakes, chocolate chips, raspberry jam and some vanilla ice cream. Now, you judge.

Crispy Crunch Banana (RM 12.90)

Lots of chocolate goodness in this with tortilla topped with banana slices, vanilla ice cream and strawberries. 

Matcha Latte (RM 10.90)

Madame Waffle is not a foreign name for the waffle industry in Malaysia. I'm sure most of you have seen in at least once in our malls. For a waffle die hard fan like myself, I haven't tried it before and honestly, I'm regretting that I did not try it earlier. 

I've always gotten my dose of waffles from one of the cafes near my place. No names will be mentioned but they are good as well. But, I almost got lost in Mid Valley while searching for Madame Waffle last Friday. It was located at the new floor above GSC cinema old counter.

Their waffles are the famous Belgium 'Liege' waffles, but with a Japanese twist to it! The frozen doughs which are made fresh in the central kitchen re sent to the respective outlets and defrosted to room temperature before putting it in the machine. I find it interesting because Madame Waffle is the first waffle place which serves waffles made from dough and not the usual batter.

The seating area which is pretty large and great to enjoy your cup of coffee with some hot, fresh waffles!

The counter for you to place your order. Don't you just love the square box deco which looks exactly like wafffles? :)

Ice Belgian Chocolate (RM 12.50)

This had a slight coffee flavour but after mixing the drink with the cream, it becomes this really smooth chocolate-y blend with a coffee aftertaste. It was perfect for non coffee drinkers like myself :)

Dark Chocolate Mocha Hot (RM 11.00)

WAFFLES IN A CUP

Tiramisu (RM 12.00)

This was my favourite flavour because it had only a light coffee flavour to it. Love the strawberries and the cream at the bottom which matched well together :)

ChocoMatte (RM 12.00)

The flowers you see are made of the yummy Ferrero Rocher chocolates :) And if you're a chocolate lover, you will definitely love this. Melted, rich and smooth chocolate to go with your waffle sticks :)

WAFFLES 

Banana Nutella (RM 18.50)

Whoever invented this two combination must be a genius. Even better, this two combo was paired with some yummy, soft and fluffy waffles. This was just heavenly and I would definitely get this again the next round.

Madame Signature (RM 17.00)

If you fancy some Japanese green tea waffles, this is the place to satisfy those waffle cravings. 

Seasalt Dark Chocolate Chunk (RM 10.50)

The combination of sweet chocolate and with some salty, savoury waffles was really amazing. In fact, this was my favourite of the night. For the generous servings of strawberries and crushed nuts, this would probably be the all time favourite.

If you would like to order some waffles for sharing, I'd definitely recommend that you order this :)

Classic Waffle - Almond (RM 7.00)

I liked this, it was simple, not messy with all those ice cream and easy to have on the go. Yummy and nutty! You can purchase this in a box of 6 as well.
