HYPPTV BRINGS CHEER AND
SHARES THE EXCITEMENT OF CHINESE NEW YEAR CELEBRATION WITH PJ CARING HOME
RESIDENTS
Mindful of its social responsibilities and with the intention to share
the joy of Chinese New Year celebration this year with the underprivileged and less fortunate groups,
HyppTV, Malaysia’s
largest and an award winning IPTV service powered by Telekom Malaysia Berhad
(TM) today paid a visit to PJ Caring Home
in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
The
delegates from TM and HyppTV to the charity home was joined by Jeremy Kung,
Executive Vice President, New Media, TM together with Emily Wee, Vice
President, Business and Media Operation, New Media, TM.
The delegates brought additional joy to the home with fun-filled activities
such as a group sing along session, blind tasting, aerobic exercise, origami
folding as well as performances by magicians and clowns to uplift the spirit
this festive season.

In
line with TM’s promise of “Life Made Easier” for the community at large, HyppTV
also provided FREE UniFi access complete with HyppTV Ruby Pack for PJ Caring
Home. The residents of PJ Caring Home who mainly consist of old folks and
mentally-challenged adults, will now be able to enjoy the high speed internet
experience of UniFi and watch HyppTV’s world class entertainment content FREE
for 3 years. To complement the internet and IPTV service, Samsung, as the
official TV partner, contributed a 65” HD TV for the charity establishment bringing
more joy for the residents! In addition, the folks at the home also received
exclusive merchandise from HyppTV and TM Info-Media Sdn. Bhd. (TMIM), a
subsidiary of TM. In total more than RM40,000 is contributed to ease the
burden of the residents at PJ Caring Home.
With the all-new Ruby Pack by HyppTV and FREE UniFi access, the folks at PJ Caring Home can enjoy their latest dramas and have karaoke sessions frequently as well.
According to Jeremy: “The visit to the PJ Caring Home
is just a way of giving the residents the chance to enjoy the company of others
in a fun, joyful environment during this Chinese New Year celebration while
providing our staff a chance to reach out to the communities and doing a good
deed at the same time.”
“HyppTV has started our community-based activities since
2013 with local communities during Ramadan month where we collaborated with
local mosque committee at Menara TM, Kuala Lumpur, Bangi and Taman Melawati. Starting
this year, we intend to expand our reach via more programmes to share the warm
celebration of festivals and contribute to the community especially to those
underprivileged. Besides contribution and visit to PJ Caring Home, HyppTV has lined
up more activities with the communities throughout the year. We are indeed
blessed to be in a position to uplift the lives of people through great
entertainment and giving back to the community is a great way to start the year,”
he added.
In conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration
this year, HyppTV also ran a promotion to offer its viewers free viewing of its
highly popular Ruby Pack from 28 January 2017 to 11 February 2017. Dubbed
HyppTV “Chick It Out!”, the 15 days free viewing promotion ushers in the new
Rooster Year with an amazing entertainment feast and viewers can look forward
to exclusive movie premieres as well as latest movies and series on channels

In addition,
