Food: Sambal-icious IndoMie Sensation @ Indobowl, Lake Fields

I'm sure some of you have came across the name, Indobowl in your FB news feed these days. The latest IndoMie sensation is taking over the internet these days. So, what's the hype all about, you may ask? I've tried it for myself and here's my verdict on it.

The restaurant is a cosy one with modern and chic interior. What is special here is of course, the IndoMie itself.

Mumbo Jumbo Platter

This is a specialty only available at Indobowl. Served with Ayam Percik, ribs, lamb chops and steak, this platter is enough to feed 3 to 4 hungry diners. The special fiery Indonesian sambal is a perfect match to the IndoMie. You need to mix the noodles with all the sambal for that 'kick' to your meal :)

Nasi Iga (RM 15)
Braised beef short ribs served with special Indonesian sambal

Nasi Goreng Seafood (RM 10)
This is Indobowl's signature fried rice, served with deep fried seafood and a sunny side up. Of course, not forgetting the amazing sambal!

Nasi Ayam Madura (RM 12)

Nasi Pecel Lele (RM 9)
Deep fried catfish, served with rice and sides of the special sambal. Fried till crisp on the outside and smooth on the inside, I absolutely love the fried catfish, my personal favourite here at Indobowl.

Sate Madura Beef (RM 9 for 5 sticks)

Daily: RM100 Pre-Loved Shopping Haul @ Jalan Jalan Japan, 1 Shamelin

Contrary to the popular belief that pre-loved items may be used and old, I've found a gem in the heart of Cheras where you can get some pretty new and mint condition pre-loved goods. For those who loves shopping, Jalan Jalan Japan is your ultimate shopping heaven.

The concept behind this is to recycle items which have been used, perhaps once or twice and it is popular in Japan itself. This is because Japan is a developed nation and they live in very tight living spaces. Therefore, they tend to sell off their high quality pre-loved items to make room for more space.

Bookoff Corporation, the brainchild behind Jalan Jalan Japan operates approximately 800 pre-loved stores in Japan. They have brought in this concept to Malaysia in November 2016 at One City Subang. This time, they are opening their second store at 1 Shamelin Mall, Cheras. I was very surprised as the store is gigantic and consists of items from kitchenware, winter clothings, toys, sports equipments, collectible items and household products.

Getting excited after seeing all the winter wear!

Posing with some of the items we chose

So many baby prams and car seats to choose from for soon to be parents

And, here I am, happy and satisfied with all my purchases at the end of the day!

Check out my shopping haul with just RM 100! Huge savings on high quality products at Jalan Jalan Japan :)

Brown Trenchcoat - RM 20
Chanel Inspired Grey Short Jacket - RM 30
Dark Grey Trenchcoat - RM 20
Stainless Steel Pot - RM 30

What I liked most about this concept is that, the products sold are almost brand new and they are not pricey at all. The items are directly imported from Japan and are replenished weekly. There is something for everyone in Jalan Jalan Japan!

GOOD NEWS! Jalan Jalan Japan @1 Shamelin store will open on the 30th September and the first 100 customers will be entitled to 10% discount. If you mention my blog 'Clarrisha Hong' at the opening, you will receive an additional 5% discount! So, what are you waiting for? Mark your calendars today and head to Jalan Jalan Japan soon!

Food: Ramen Goodness @ Solomen Cafe, SS2

If you're craving for some Japanese goodies, I have a great suggestion. I recently tried out a new establishment, serving up some ramen goodness at the busy township of SS2. Solomen Cafe is a modern themed cafe and a good workplace for those who are seeking a quiet place to get some work done.

For girls, it is also a perfect place for OOTD as they have a beautiful setting with white walls and chic interior.

Absolutely love how minimalist this shot is :)

Gyoza (6 pcs @ RM 11.90)

Fried Chicken Karaage (3 pcs @ RM 14.50)

Tonkatsu Pork Chop (RM 20.90)
Personally, this was my favourite appetiser. Golden brown, deep fried meaty pork chop served with a drizzle of lemon juice to enhance its flavour! I liked how it was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, just the right texture of pork chop.

Tenshimen (RM 16.90)

Kimchi Ramen (RM 19.90)
As a kimchi and ramen lover, this dish is a perfect match made in heaven for me. The kimchi was slightly sourish and coupled with the nourishing broth, plus the chewy ramen, this is what I'd imagine comfort food to be like.

Negi Miso Ramen (RM 20.90)
Flavorful miso broth with your favourite ramen

Tonkatsu Ramen (RM 20.90)
Somehow, I still do prefer the original pork broth without any other fancy additions to it.

Hokkaido Butadon (RM 22.90)

Shiogayaki Don (RM 21.50)

 Kimchi Fried Rice (RM 17.90)
I enjoyed this fried rice because it was fragrant and appetising. Perfect to have it on its own, this is definite a must order at this cafe.

Tiramisu (RM 11.90)

Cempedak Lover (RM 13.90)
This is a special dessert which is only available here. With cempedak chunks in between layers of cake, this is a local favourite which is worth trying. Enjoy this slice of cake with coffee!
