Daily: Grand Opening of Black Bull, Mid Valley

Are you looking for an all in one entertainment outlet this holidays? Now, Black Bull is the new hang out place for the young and old as there are so much to do under one roof. Recently, I was invited to the grand opening of this place and it was definitely a night to remember.

There was everything you could ever imagine of, and if given more time, I think I'm able to spend my whole day there. It's a place to unwind and relax after a long week!

Here's the eight lane Brunswick bowling alley! Pretty gigantic actually, considering it is located in a mall.

The electronic darts machine when you get bored of bowling.

My favourite past time activity, here's the karaoke room where you can spend hours singing and unleash the superstar in you!

You can even challenge your friends to a game of pool here. I thought it was pretty convenient to be able to play snooker in a mall.

The bar counter where you can get your drinks after your hour long karaoke session or, just to chill out after a long day.

Some of the Western fusion food in the buffet spread. The good thing about this place is you could even choose to dine in after having fun. You wouldn't even need to take a step out of this place to look for food :)

What's a night without a selfie?

My #ootd to match the concept of Black Bull!

Food: Udon Ya San @ Pandan Indah, Kuala Lumpur

To those on the look out for good, cheap Japanese cuisine, I would say, look no further and head to Udon Ya San in Pandan Indah! This cosy and homey restaurant serves up bowls of 'udon' which are home made in the kitchen daily.

I particularly liked the ambience which was calming and relaxing, great for those who would like to savour their 'udon' in a comfortable environment.

Some Japanese Calligraphy used to decorate the restaurant :)

The 'udon' served here is different from other restaurants because the noodles which are made daily are unequal in size and it's because they really do manually make their 'udon'. The noodles are best when they are consumed within minutes to preserve its bouncy, chewy texture.

Tsukimi Udon
This is known as the Moon Viewing Udon because of the soft boiled egg included in this bowl of goodness. I would personally recommend you guys to break the egg and mix the yolk with the clear broth for a more refined taste of the 'udon'. Oh, the bonito flakes was added to compliment the noodles.

Tsukimi Udon Dry
This dish is served with seaweed, half boiled egg, chopped spring onions as well as some tempura batter. This version has no broth and the sweetness of the seaweed could really be tasted in this.

Carbonara Udon
This was my personal favourite because I love eating almost anything under the Sun which have cheesy, creamy carbonara sauce. Honestly, I thought this would be a miserable combination but the sauce which was made using parmegiano cheese, cream and egg yolk didn't fall back on my expectation. The cured pork slices (pancetta) which was served with the udon really brought out the best of this dish.

Mentaiko Udon
To those who are looking for something extraordinary, try this 'udon' which is coated with creamy fish roe sauce. There are seaweed and cucumber as accompaniment to the noodles but the highlight of this dish will be the generous amount of cod fish roe added.

Salad Udon
This is the version of vegetarian 'udon' for those who are opting for a healthier meal. This bowl of chilled noodles contains shredded seaweed, cherry tomatoes and fresh lettuce with some sesame  dressing 'goma' to compliment this dish.

Kakiage
Here's an authentic Japanese side dish! Onions, long beans and carrots are fried till golden brown. Very crunchy and appetising to consume before the main meal!

Mixed Vegetables Tempura
Some other fried food available; lotus root, green chillies, brinjal and ladies' finger.

Chicken Karage
This fried chicken is tender and juicy with every single bite. The chicken used is of premium grade and flavour wise, I have nothing to complain at all. The skin is crispy on the outside and bursting with flavour on the inside.

Chicken Katsu
This chicken slices are fried to golden brown and it was as tender and juicy as the Chicken Karage. The dipping sauce was made out of mustard although, it pretty much tasted like wasabi to me. It was slightly sweet and had that distinct pungent flavour to it.

Ajitama
What's a visit to a Japanese restaurant without the soft boiled eggs? This was my personal favourite too and is a must have for me. It is usually served with chopped spring onions and sesame seeds. Oh, for those who may be wondering why the eggs look tinier than the ordinary, just note that free range eggs are used in this restaurant for the added freshness.

Food: Bmon Cafe @ The Strand, Kota Damansara

The Strand in Kota Damansara is definitely the newest place to hangout over the weekends. I found a little secret hideout which offers good food at an affordable price and here I am sharing it with you guys!

Bmon Cafe is great for those who fancy cartoon characters as you will dine in midst of the fantasy created by one of the owner. The artistic Roy has utilised his creative skills to bring to life his very own character 'Bmon'. He was inspired by Japanese manga characters and you can see his hand painted drawings all over the wall in this cafe. Pretty impressive to me :)

A mini corner to chill with friends and family!

Don't be fooled by how cute this place looks, the food tastes as good too!

The selection of cakes available! Doesn't the New York Cheese cake looks tempting?

The menu for your viewing pleasure.

Signature Drink (Bmon Plant)
Look at the amount of effort made to produce this 'plant'! So creative and it almost looks too good to be drink :)

Fruit Mayo Salad
For those who are constantly seeking for a healthier meal, here's the special fruit salad for you! Topped with raisins, plenty of bite sized strawberries, mangoes and literally any other fruits you can imagine, this bowl of goodness is sure to keep your gut healthy. Crispy croutons are also added to compliment the salad.

Mushroom Wrap
Toasted wraps filled with four different types of mushrooms; button mushroom, oyster mushroom, shitake mushroom and portobello mushroom. Great for mushroom lovers!

Tuna Sandwich
This is similar to your regular sandwich, except that they used butter croissants for that extra kick to your sandwich. Something different from the usual, boring bread for me. This is filled with generous tuna spread, onions, cheese and cucumbers. Wholesome, all in one meal!

Mushroom Pizza
This is one of out the two types of thin crust pizza offered here. I preferred this more compared to the Hawaiian Pizza because I felt that the combination of mushroom, cheese and tomatoes worked better :) The thin crust is great as it is crispy, a perfect combination to the toppings.

All Day Breakfast
This breakfast is a complete meal with toast, baked beans, scrambled eggs, few slices of ham, hash brown, mushrooms and sausages. I particularly liked their sauteed mushrooms because it was very fragrant with garlic flavour.

Hippo In A Pond
This was the highlight of the review session! A fancy name for a dish of potato croquette, coated with breadcrumbs and fried till golden brown. Oh, and they even added eggs for that extra texture to the dish. My personal favourite as its like eating mashed potatoes!

Waffles
You may choose between a topping of chocolate or strawberry ice cream. I personally preferred the strawberry one because somehow, it goes well with the crispy waffles. It really does tastes as good as the picture looks. And, for the price I'm paying, its really a great deal compared to other places offering waffles as well.

Food: Delifrance Malaysia Christmas Celebration Menu @ Avenue K

The jolly season of giving is here once again and it's everybody's favourite time of the year. Yes, I'm talking about Christmas and Delifrance proudly presents to you their 2014 Christmas Menu.

Delifrance has been serving delicious food to patrons since 1990 and their Christmas menu has gone through stringent research before it was laid out in the market. I was glad to be invited to savour these dishes first hand.

First of, let's have a look at the selection of cakes available.

Salted Caramel Tea Cake with Walnut
This savoury cake is perfect with a cup of tea or coffee on a lazy weekend. It is great for me as it wasn't that sweet and has tons of walnuts in it.

Double Chocolate Tea Cake
This rich and moist chocolate cake is better than any I've ever tasted. It is loaded with chocolate chips for the sweet tooth and its bitter and simultaneously sweet smell can put anyone in trance with just one bite.

Rocky Land Gift Cake

Santa Play Land Gift Cake
Although I didn't get to taste this, but it is a Red Velvet Cake topped with sour cream cheese.

Cupcakes
Too pretty to be eaten!

Poached Salmon Fillet
For those who are health conscious, I'd strongly recommend this poached salmon dish which is topped with milky white dill sauce. The salmon is cooked to perfection and it is served together with some salad to achieve a balanced diet.

Provencal Lamb Stew
This dish was absolutely perfection! The lamb was tender and juicy with every bite and the sauce complimented the meat very well. This French lamb stew should be accompanied with a glass or red wine and perhaps, some bread to dip the fragrant sauce which is good till the last drop!

Chicken Turkey Pasta
Paste lovers must absolutely try this. The spaghetti is well coated with the creamy and milky white sauce, complimented by slices of turkey ham.

Beef/Chicken Lasagna
Doesn't that look heavenly? I'm a self confessed lasagna lover and this Italian dish is what I would usually crave for when I'm studying for exams. Delifrance's lasagna deserves praises for its absolutely generous amount of cheese and thin sheets of pasta. Satisfying till the last bite, now I know where to get my dose of lasagna when I'm craving for them.

Some of Delifrance's signature cakes, breads and pastries!

Oh, and the highlight of the event was a gingerbread man making session. We could personalised our very own gingerbread man, yay!

Here are some of the decorations which were provided to us and they looked so colourful!

My 'naked' gingerbread man before the decorations :)

Some pictures I took during the event with my gingerbread man :) Excuse the silliness haha!

Selfie with other bloggers at the event :)

Toodles, that's it! I will definitely be going back to Delifrance to savour their yummy dishes :) You guys should try it as well, I'm sure you guys will not regret it :)
